"It's hard to resist the sound of Elephant Run. The party indie vibe that flirts with psychedelia, winks at jazz and takes a hit with bossa nova sounds much more at ease on ‘Leftover Land’."

BIO

JZY_3342.jpg

On the verge of celebrating ten years of their career, the Swedish-Brazilian band Elephant Run is composed of Amanda Wahlström Plantin (vocals and piano) from Sweden, and São Paulo natives Fernando Coelho (guitar), Ladislau Kardos (drums), and Renato Cortez (bass). The artists are part of the roster of the label and production company +um Hits.

The group continues to break boundaries and win over audiences and critics wherever they go with their unique cultural blend, showcased in the albums Elephant Run (2017) and the more recent Leftover Land, released in April 2024 on digital platforms and vinyl.

The band delivers experimental and irreverent original sounds, bringing to the stage influences from Swedish folk, psychedelia, classical music, jazz, progressive rock, pop, and trip hop. In their shows, they create an explosive cultural and musical fusion, with atmospheric sounds and existential lyrics that promise to transport audiences to new horizons.

In addition to captivating with their unique sound, Elephant Run incorporates subtle elements of cabaret and theater that, though discreet, add a special touch to their performances. It’s no wonder the band has already won over both critics and fans, and they are set to take the world by storm with new projects on the way, including their third album, already recorded and slated for release in 2025.
